Rev. Fr. Ferdinand T. Hernando was ordained to the priesthood by then Auxiliary Bishop of Manila, Most Rev. Teodoro Buhain, D.D.

October 1992

Fr. Hernando served as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish, del Pan, Tondo, Manila

July 1992

Fr. Hernando was sent by his superiors to Spain and Rome for further studies in Theology.

Fr. Ferdinand T. Hernando finished his Licentiate in Dogmatic theology, Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome.

1995-2006

Fr. Hernando taught theology at Recoletos School of Theology, Mira-nila Homes, Tandang Sora Ave., Quezon City

1996-2006

Fr. Hernando served as guest professor on the Faculty of  Theology, Ecclesiastical Faculties, University of Santo Tomas, Manila

June 11, 2004

After finishing his 30-day retreat at Maryridge Retreat House, Tagaytay, Rev. Fr. Ferdinand T. Hernando was inspired to dedicate himself to the Health Care Ministry, following his experience of physical and spiritual healing from the hands of Rev. Fr. Ronnie Cao of the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Rev. Fr. Lauro Larlar, OAR, Prior Provincial of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, graced the Foundation Mass of the St. Ezekiel Moreno Healing Ministry, a special apostolate under the care of Fr. Ferdinand T. Hernando.

May 1-June 9, 2006

Rev. Fr. Ferdinand T. Hernando went on a 40-day Nationwide Healing Mass Caravan in 35 cities in the Philippines and launched an information drive on and promoting devotion to St. Ezekiel Moreno, patron of cancer patients.

Mid-August of 2006

Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Hernando confided to his Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Matthew Weber, SC, his desire to establish a missionary congregation dedicated to physical rehabilitation, psychological recovery, social reform and spiritual renewal.

Mid-January of 2007

One cold night in mid-January, Fr. Hernando, impelled by charity, went out of the monastery to distribute his clothes, towels, and blankets to street children and beggars sleeping by the roadside of Quezon City and Manila and promised to live a simpler lifestyle from then on.

July 14, 2007

Fr. Hernando wrote a letter to the Provincial Superior and General Superior of the Order of Augustinian Recollects with the petition to leave the Order to establish a community of priests and brothers dedicated to healing and renewal.

October 2007

Fr. Lauro V. Larlar, OAR, Prior Provincial, granted Fr. Ferdinand T. Hernando, a one-year leave of absence from the Order for more discernment.

Dec. 8, 2007

Foundation Day of the Missionaries of the Beatitudes held at Holy Family Quasi-Parish, Assets cor. Actuarial Sts., GSIS Village, Quezon City.  The Most Rev. Antonio P. Palang, SVD, DD, Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, formally accepted the role of  Bishop-Protector of the Missionaries of the Beatitudes in a concelebrated Mass and thus established
the Pious Association of Priests and Brothers along with its founder Fr. Ferdinand T. Hernando, M.B., S.T.L.

Dec 15, 2007

Fr. Hernando served in the various mission stations of the Apostolic Vicariate of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro under the direct pastoral care of Bishop Antonio P. Palang, SVD, DD.

January 6, 2008

Bishop Antonio P. Palang SVD, DD sent Fr. Hernando to serve in the mission station in the island of Lubang, Occidental Mindoro.

July of 2008

Bishop Antonio P. Palang advised Fr. Hernando to establish his first convent in Metro Manila to facilitate the studies and formation of future members of the Missionaries of the Beatitudes.

October 7, 2008

Bishop Antonio P. Palang blessed the first house of the Missionaries of the Beatitudes.

October 31, 2008

Having finished his one-year leave of absence from the Order, Rev. Fr. Hernando requested the Sacred Congregation of Religious Institutes and Societies of Apostolic Life in Vatican City for an Indult of Departure from the Order of Augustinian Recollects.

Received the Indult of Departure from the Order of Augustinian Recollects issued by the Sacred Congregation of Religious Institutes and Societies of Apostolic Life, Vatican

March 2009

The Most Rev. Honesto Ongtioco, DD, Bishop of the Diocese of Cubao, gave the Missionaries of the Beatitudes the necessary canonical permission to establish a religious house in the Diocese of Cubao.

Pastoral work began:  health care ministry, counseling ministry, social welfare ministry, spiritual retreats and recollections…
